Built to Protomotive Stage 3 specifications, the engine now produces approximately 580 horsepower at 1.1 bar of boost, dramatically increasing performance over the already potent factory turbocharged engine. The build includes upgraded pistons and cylinders, larger fuel injectors, twin fuel pumps, an upgraded turbocharger, intercooler system, and additional supporting modifications to ensure reliable high-performance operation.

Opening the rear decklid reveals a beautifully executed engine bay with a large performance intercooler and a plaque noting the custom Protomotive build, highlighting the craftsmanship and attention that went into this upgrade.

Despite the substantial increase in power, the car remains remarkably composed on the road. The steering feel and chassis response are exceptionally tight and precise, giving the driver tremendous confidence and making the car far more refined and capable than many modified examples.

The car also comes with extensive documentation dating back to the 1980s, including invoices, service records, inspection documents, and handwritten maintenance logs from prior ownership.
